In 2014-15 on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, there were traffic lights that were set up, most of them not serving any purpose as of yet because the roads were still being built. Traffic lights are such simple constructions, and yet they hold the power to control.

'Construct' is a two part short photo series on how the constructed world man creates obstructs, confines, and asserts its own physical dominance over the being, yet the body of the being is the true holder of power. The series explores the relationship of the body to the surrounding physical world, and how it is resilient, graceful, and takes on new meaning in relationship to its constructed space.
