Family on a ferry ride to Nagadeepa (also Nainativu) island. To go to a place that's been inaccessible due to a war, is profound. Seeing this family made me realize that we were all sharing in a unique experience - we were all first timers. Parents in Jaffna really want the best for their kids, and they want them to see the places of cultural and historical value - of where they come from - and not be deprived of the beauty that is Nainativu.	Family on a ferry ride to Nagadeepa (also Nainativu) island. Though they don't look at the camera, you can just tell that they're smiling, as with the previous photo. The boy looks out to see the water.	On a ferry ride to the sacred Nagadeepa island, important to both Buddhists and Hindus. Lotus flowers are usually taken as a religious offering.
